«STARMUS FESTIVAL VI. 50 years on Mars 2022»

On June 16, the program and planned events of the international STARMUS VI Festival, which will be held in Armenia in September, were presented at a press conference in the Great Hall of the Matenadaran.
The festival in Armenia is organized in cooperation with the Government of the Republic of Armenia represented by the Ministries of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia, High-tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia:
Thanks to the STARMUS festival, Armenia will become a world center of science, technology, art and music in the first decade of September, hosting eminent scientists and stars.
The press conference had an unconventional format. The main speaker, co-founder of the STARMUS Festival, astrophysicist Garik Israelian, received STARMUS Board member David Eicher (David Eicher, Board member), Nobel Prize laureate, neuroscientist Edward Moser (Edward Moser, Nobel laureate, Neuroschoentist) and musician Derek Sherinian. There were also messages fr om Brian May and Serge Tankian.
"I would like to note that I have been happy to participate in all STARMUS festivals over the past 7 years and have had a lot of fun. I am looking forward to holding this festival in Armenia as well. I will talk about the connection between the brain and music. I am glad to be part of a kind of events to merge thought and music," said Nobel Prize winner, neuroscientist Edward Mosser during a live video call.
"It is thanks to the efforts of many STARMUS speakers that today we imagine our place in the universe and inspire people to new research "We live not only in the golden age of astronomy and astrophysics, the study of planets, but also witness a huge number of new discoveries",- said STARMUS Board member David Eiker.
"I am very excited, I'm going to perform separate performances with Simon Phillips, Rick Fierabrachi and Tigran Amasyan for 3 days. We will present a very diverse and high-quality music," noted the famous musician Derek Sherinian.

* The conference "Discover the universe and change the world" (Discover the cosmos and change the world), which will be held on the territory of the Sports and Concert Complex, is expected to be attended by about 7000 participants,
* The ceremony of awarding the Stephen Hawking Medal, recognized worldwide as the "Oscar" for the popularization of science,
* "108 minutes of a round table" with the participation of Nobel Prize laureates,
* Star Party (Star Party) is a special event with the participation of world-famous guests and local representatives, which will be held in Garni. Numerous telescopes brought to Armenia as part of the festival will be placed here.
Additional events that are no less important and form part of the program, developed in a variety of formats specifically for the Armenian festival, were also presented:
It is planned to organize a science camp. A. The territory adjacent to the A. Spendiaryan National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater will turn into a large-scale center of science and technology, wh ere the latest achievements and achievements of science will be presented to kids and adults in the most accessible formats with large thematic pavilions: "astrophysics", "laser physics", "drones", "robotics", "artificial intelligence", "Agrotech", "nuclear energy", "Epidemiology", "earthquake research", "blue-green planet", "telescopes", "Zoology and Botany", "supporting technologies"., On the topics of "space and artificial satellites". About 100 thousand visitors from Yerevan, as well as from the regions of Armenia and Artsakh are expected to participate.
The two-day conference on Space Technologies, which will be held in the Sports and Concert Complex, will attract about 20 world-famous speakers, including from Ratlantis, a company engaged in space technologies.
With the participation of Armenian universities participating in the program (Yerevan State University, National Polytechnic University of Armenia, Armenian State University of Economics, Armenian National Agrarian University, Armenian-Russian University, American University of Armenia), students will be given the opportunity to listen to famous and world-famous scientists at their alma mater:
