BRILLIANT VICTORY OF QUANTUM COLLEGE STUDENTS AT THE CAUCASIAN MATHEMATICAL OLYMPIAD
21.03.2026
During the Caucasian Mathematical Olympiad held from March 13–18 in Maykop, Russia, the Armenian team achieved significant success, with the students of the "Quantum college" particularly standing out.
It is a point of pride that three out of the four team members—Tigran Akheyan, Hrant Sargsyan, and Arman Khachatryan—are students of "Quant." Furthermore, the team leader, Narek Mkrtumyan—co-founder of the "Karakusi" (Square) Educational Foundation and head of Olympiad circles—is also closely connected to the "Quantum college" educational environment as a mathematics teacher at the gymnasium.
The Olympiad saw an exceptional result: Tigran Akheyan, scoring a perfect 56 out of 56 points, was recognized as the absolute winner in the Grade 9–10 category and awarded a gold medal. His fellow students, Hrant Sargsyan and Arman Khachatryan, also performed successfully, earning bronze medals.
The fourth member of the team was Tade, an 8th-grade student from the Physmath School, who also represented Armenia with dignity.
The Armenian team's participation was made possible through the support of the "Karakusi" Educational Foundation, which enabled their attendance in an offline format.
This achievement once again testifies to the high educational standards, Olympic preparation, and dedicated work at the "Quantum college". We warmly congratulate the young "Quantum college" students and their teachers, wishing them new heights in the international scientific arena.
