From April 23 to 29 of this year, Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania, became the center of European mathematical thought. It hosted the first European Mathematical Olympiad, which brought together the strongest young mathematicians from across the continent. The competition was organized as a new international platform for students with high-level Olympiad training.
The Armenian team, funded by the “Qarakusi” Foundation, достойly represented the country at this prestigious competition, winning 1 silver and 5 bronze medals. This result is not only a testament to the individual effort and talent of our students, but also another proof of the steady progress of Armenia’s mathematical school.
It is a special source of pride that four of the six medalists of the Armenian team are students of Quantum College. Tigran Hakobyan, Hayk Manukyan, Aren Grigoryan, and Arman Khachatryan, 10th-grade students of the school, won bronze medals, thus inscribing their names in the history of the first European Mathematical Olympiad.
This achievement is particularly valuable, as the Quantum medalists are still 10th-grade students. Their success reflects not only exceptional abilities, but also long-term, consistent, and in-depth work. Olympiad mathematics requires not only knowledge, but also creative thinking, perseverance, quick orientation, and a fearless approach to complex problems.
For Quantum College, this victory once again confirms the principle that a strong educational environment, dedicated teachers, and goal-oriented students can achieve great results. The success of Tigran, Hayk, Aren, and Arman is not only a personal victory, but also an inspiring example for their peers.
We congratulate the Armenian team, all the medalists, their teachers, parents, and supporters. Special congratulations to the Quantum students, who through their hard work and outstanding results uphold the good name of both Armenia and their beloved school on this important European mathematical stage.
