The 10th Anniversary European Junior Olympiad in Informatics, EJOI 2026, took place from July 24 to 30 in Kaunas, Lithuania, bringing together 100 students from 25 countries.
The Armenian national team achieved a brilliant result, winning 2 silver and 2 bronze medals. The success of the "Quantum" College students is a source of immense pride for us: 8th-grade student Vache Kocharyan won a silver medal, while 7th-grade student Hayk Adamyan earned a bronze medal.
During the competition, participants spent two days solving complex algorithmic and programming problems, demonstrating not only deep knowledge but also logical thinking, concentration, and a high sense of responsibility.
One of the leaders of the Armenian team was Alex Grigoryan, a graduate of "Quantum" College this year. Alex is a multiple medal winner of international olympiads and has been admitted to the University of Oxford. His role as team leader is a prime example of continuity across generations at "Quant"—where yesterday’s medalist passes on their experience and knowledge to the next generation today.
We congratulate Vache Kocharyan, Hayk Adamyan, Alex Grigoryan, the other members of the Armenian national team, and the team leaders on these high achievements.
